TILT & SLIDE DOORS

Drewexim offers special tilt&slide doors with improved thermal insulation which can help you reduce the heat loss in your building and reduce the energy consumption which results in lower costs of energy. These doors  are slightly thicker than standard 68mm systems, the depth of both the frame and the sash is 88mm. Usually equipped with 2 or 3 gaskets and triple glazing with either Argon or Krypton to achieve the U value Ug=0,5 W/m²K.

Tilt & slide doors are another perfect solution which can be used in all types of interiors. When closed the door looks aesthetic and allows a lot of sunlight in. When open the door does not interfere with the interior of the house since the operable panel slides parallel to the other panels. This type of door allows to make considerably larger dimensions than traditional balcony doors.

THERMO WOOD

Drewexim presents new windows made of THERMO WOOD.

Thermo wood means wood which has been dried and then thermally modified. During this process the wood is treated with very high tempereture in a special chamber which influences the physical characteristics of the wood and its colour. The wood becomes darker, similar to some of the exotic species. The moisture contents of this wood is very low so it must be humidifed to the optimal level. Then the wood is left for about 2 weeks realease the internal tension.

The whole windows can be made of thermo wood or only their external side. Using thermo wood minimises the risk of moisture penetration inside the wood therefore there is no need for chemical impregnation of the wood. Thermo wood has a very natural and unique colour. For prodution of thermo wood windows we use pine wood, spruce, ash, beech and oak all FSC certified on request.

ANTIQUE WINDOWS

One of the innovations at Drewexim are antique oak windows. All of the available types and window systems can be finished this way. These windows are distressed by hand to add them a character and original appearance. The process is time-consuming as the windows are treated in many various ways to achieve a perfect result. They are one of a kind and every single unit always differs from the others. To emphasise the authenticity and aesthetics of these windows different types and colours of wax, oil and staining is available.

OUR CERTIFICATES

FSC Certificate - it is a confirmation issued by NEPCon within SmartWood program of Rainforest Alliance accredited by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) that the wood used for manufacturing comes from well managed forests so that conversion of forests or any other natural habitat is prohibited, no hazardous chemicals are used, no GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) are used, international workers rights are respected, Human Rights with particular attention to indigenous people are respected. All pine products manufactured from Drewexim's laminated timber are FSC certified, other wood species certified on request.

RAL certificate - it is a confirmation issued by the German Institute For Window Techniques in Rosenheim (IFT) for the products and the producer saying that all the highest quality and technological norms are met. It is one of the very few certificates confirming the actual quality of the products and Drewexim is one of the very few companies that has been accredited with it since 1999.

PASSIVE WINDOWS

These windows are slightly thicker than standard 68mm systems, the depth of both the frame and the sash is 88mm. Usually equipped with 2 or 3 gaskets and triple glazing with either Argon or Krypton to achieve  U_g=0,5 W/m²K.

Standard energy-efficient window achieves U value approx. U_w=0,9 W/m²K. The biggest advantage of this system is very good thermal insulation with relatively low price.

CORNER WINDOWS

Corner windows do not have the corner post because the glass is sealed with another glass in the corner at 90 degrees or different angle. It allows for letting more light into the building, having nicer view through the window and improves the appearance of the whole building and elevation.

CURVED WINDOWS

Curved windows with curved glazing are definitely a very rare product offered by very few manufacturers. Technologically it is quite a challenge. However, the visual result of using such window is astonishing!
